ABSTRACT
Esta pesquisa se baseia na Teoria das Representações Sociais. Devido o culto ao corpo perfeito, belo e jovem que a sociedade vem apresentando, buscou-se analisar de que forma esse culto ao corpo afeta a vida dos idosos. Assim foram entrevistados 21 idosos, com o intuito de verificar de que forma eles compreendem as mudanças em relação ao seu próprio corpo com o passar do tempo e as possíveis relações dessas representações com o gênero.
This research is based on the Theory of Social Representations. Due to the cult of the perfect body, handsome young that society has shown, we sought to examine how this cult of the body affects the lives of the elderly. Thus were made interviews with 21 elderly, in order to verify how they understand the changes in relation to his own body over time and the possible relationship of these representations with the gender.
